Due to the use of doping during the Winter Olympic Games in 2014 in Sochi, the International Olympic Committee disqualified five more Russian athletes and canceled their results. Among them - skeletonist Sergei Chudinov, bobsledder Alexei Negodailo and Dmitry Trunenkov, biathletes Yana Romanova and Olga Vilukhina.

Accordingly, Russia lost two more gold and three silver medals at the Games-2014. This is reported by Radio Liberty.

Previously, the Russian team has already lost first place in the unofficial offset of the Games in Sochi. This happened after in November because of the violation of anti-doping rules for life were disqualified more than a dozen Russian athletes. In total, according to the results of the investigation of the independent commission of Richard McClaren published two years ago, more than 1,000 athletes used doping in Russia. The system of using illegal drugs was supported by the state, the authors of the investigation.

Former Minister of Sports, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Vitaly Mutko said on September 12 that Moscow has never recognized and does not recognize the existence of a state program of doping support.

In response, the World Anti-Doping Agency noted that the Russian authorities must stop "shifting the blame on others" and admit deception.

At the same time, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Russia plans to protect the disqualified because of the doping of Russian athletes.

National anti-doping agencies of 17 countries demand to remove Russia from the Olympics-2018. The final decision on this issue is expected to be taken in early December.
