UEFA opened the case against the Russian "Zenith", which on the match of the 5th round of the group stage of the Europa League against the Macedonian "Vardar" hung a provocative banner.
Fans of St. Petersburg supported the Serbian military Ratko Mladic, who was one of the leaders of Serbia during the breakup of Yugoslavia. According to the Croatian edition Vecernji list, the corresponding banner threatens to "Zenith" by holding matches without spectators or a serious monetary penalty.
In addition, UEFA accuses Zenit for two more points - racist behavior and the use of fireworks. It is interesting that the supporters of this figure were indirectly expressed by the grandees of Serbian football - Partizan and Crvena Zvezda, to which various sanctions can also be applied.
After 5 rounds, "Partizan" and "Zenith" have already guaranteed themselves to participate in the next stage of the League of Europe. "Crvena Zvezda" will decide on the continuation of the fight in the tournament already in the last round.
