International Biathlon Union (IBU) decided not to include in the schedule of the World Cup season-2018/19 stage in Russia.

As before, the World Cup calendar will consist of nine stages.
However, the last stage will take place in Norwegian Oslo from 18 to 24 March 2019.
Initially, it was planned that the tournament would end on March 25, 2019, the ninth stage in Tyumen.
Recall that in December 2016 WADA suspected Russian biathletes in the use of banned substances. In March 2017, Russia was deprived of the right to hold the World Championship-2021 in Tyumen with the wording "for the country's inadequacy to the WADA code".
