Fans of hockey are indignantly discussing in social networks a photo of the Stanley Cup, published by the club Pittsburgh Penguins. On it the name of the hockey player Evgeni Malkin is engraved with an error - instead of the letter E, F. Fans of the Russian sportsman are indignant that the mistaken engraving is applied to the cup for the second time. Representatives of the club are sure that there was no mistake in writing Malkin's name, just the letter E is not clearly engraved and in case of bad lighting it can be mistaken for F. However, the fans do not quit and require to put the Cup on display, in good light. The specialist in faleristics told "360" that mistakes in writing names on cups and other awards are a frequent occurrence. According to the president of the Moscow club of collectors "True friends of faleristics" Sergei Bychkov, usually a cup is made in standard form, and the inscription is made by a graver right at the competition.

Sometimes such engraving is applied for awards right before handing, but in a hurry, everything is possible, explained the expert.

According to him, it is not difficult to remove the mistake - the inscription needs to be cleaned and polished, and then a new. A professional it can be fast. Sometimes mistakes on awards are not found out right away, and the owners of the cups independently correct them in engraving workshops. Bychkov noted that the owners of awards - in principle, uninhibited people, they are loyal to technical mistakes.

Apparently, the fans are a completely different matter. They can be offended for all at once.
