Fitness today, perhaps the most common type of physical activity.

The word "fitness" (from English "fitness" - readiness) means "physical and mental health of a person through his readiness for physical work." Fitness has emerged thanks to the "fashion" for a healthy lifestyle in Western countries after the publication of scientific research evidence that the main the risk factor of cardiovascular diseases in modern man is the lack of motor activity.

Western physicians introduced a special indicator Fhysical Working Capacaty (PWC), characterizing the ability of a person to perform physical work in the zone of the most concerted activity of the cardiovascular system. The word "fitness", then introduced into use, absorbed the principles and methods of training the body at maximum physical exertion for the sake of the healing effect.

Fitness does not require an individual selection of the exercise mode: all those engaged in the fitness group do the same exercises, depending only on the current complex. The task of the trainer is to maintain the necessary pace and positive emotional background in the fitness classes during the exercises.

Fitness can be described as an exercise system of an integrated plan to strengthen the body and increase its ability to withstand the load.

Today, fitness contains both power elements, and classical, from aerobics.

Since the main efforts during the exercise experience large muscles, joints, spine and lower limbs, fitness requires special equipment. A prerequisite is the presence of sneakers, which increase the spring function of the foot and reduce the load on the joints.

In general, fitness is any physical load, whether callanetics or pilates. In this sense, fitness means the improvement of the body, the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.
