Sports community continues to call for the removal of the Russian team from participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The head of the US anti-doping agency (USADA), Travis Taigart, spoke in favor of the complete removal of the Russian team.
This is reported by The Guardian.
"WADA needs to do exactly the same as in Rio, and recommend the removal of Russia from the Winter Olympics for its entrenched doping practice, and allow competition to neutral Russian athletes if they prove their" purity ". Any other measures, except the removal of Russia, will in fact release the culprit from prison, "said Taygart.
Recall, earlier just 17 anti-doping organizations of different countries appealed to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) with a demand to remove Russia from participating in the Olympic Games-2018.
Note that the 2018 Olympic Games will be held on February 9-25 in South Korean Pyeongchang.
