Open regional tournament in judo memory of the warrior-internationalist Vladimir Kisel takes place on the track and field athletics arena of the stadium "Dynamo". The competition is held for the fourth consecutive year. This year more than 150 young judoists from Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk and Sumy regions take part in them.

Anatoly Babichev congratulated participants of the event on behalf of the head of HOGA Yulia Svetlichnaya, wishing athletes victories achieved in a fair fight.

"Today the development of sports in the Kharkov region is paid special attention, this issue is on the personal control of the head of the region Yulia Svetlichnaya. As a result, a large number of sports competitions took place in our region this year, including the highest international level. This tournament continues a string of sports events in Kharkiv. It's nice that the circle of participants in regional competitions is expanding every year, other regions are joining us, and the tournament is gaining an increasing scale, "said the deputy chairman of KHOGA.

He stressed that the development of children's and junior sports is one of the main tasks for the region's leadership.

"We create conditions for the expansion of the sports and physical culture movement among young people. Today, stadiums, sports and recreation complexes, modern sports grounds with artificial surface are being built in the region. Sports facilities will appear in all areas of the region without exception. All children should have the opportunity to develop their abilities and simply spend time with health benefits, "- said Anatoly Babichev.
