It is reported that Ivanchuk was able to outplay his Polish counterpart Jan Dudy, placing his opponent in the sixth game. Another Ukrainian Yuri Kuzubov managed to outwit the Azerbaijani Shahriyar Mamediyarov and put him two mats under the 3: 1.

In total, six Ukrainians took part in the tournament. In the first round, Pavel Eljanov, Alexander Areshchenko and Ruslan Ponomarev broke down. In the second round, Maratyn Kravtsov was defeated.

The final part of the tournament will be held at the end of September - from 23 to 27.



The coach of the Ukrainian team was pleased with the game of his players and assured that the main game is still ahead, so that the guys will need to study the opponent well and prepare. This year the Ukrainian chess team was able to reach the final part, that it was not always successful.

As reported in the "URA-Inform", recently Ukrainian grandmaster Sergei Fedorchuk outstripped the Spanish player, as a result of which he won the prestigious representative tournament in Spain.
