Ukrainka Yulia Levchenko to the silver medal of the World Championships added the second place in high jump in the final of the most prestigious track and field tournament "Diamond League" in Brussels.

The height of 1.91 meters finally crossed out the chances of the majority of participants in the struggle for victory. This height was overcome by only two athletes - Julia Levchenko and Russian Maria Lasitskene.

With the second attempt, Julia submitted and 1.94 m. After two failures at 1.97, Levchenko suffered a final attempt at 1.99 m, but this evening failed to overcome them. She's the second. Another Ukrainian, Oksana Okuneva, took eighth place (1.84 m).

This year in the tournament regulations there have been significant changes - now the decisive are not the total number of points for all the stages, but only the performance in the final. The remaining stages of the season were qualified for the final.

Let us note that on the eve of Levchenko was recognized as the best athlete of August in Ukraine. This month, she was the only Ukrainian athlete to have won a medal at the World Championship in London, while twice updating her personal record.

Recall that in the first finals, which took place on August 24 in Zurich, Ukrainian jumper Bogdan Bondarenko extracted "bronze".
