The International Olympic Committee (IOC) at an extraordinary session in Lausanne decided on the host cities of the Summer Olympic Games in 2024 and 2028.

The meeting was invited to give one of the Olympic Games in Paris, others - Los Angeles.

Paris essentially wanted to get the right to the Olympics-2024, which is scheduled for the 100th anniversary of the year since the French capital for the second and last time hosted the Olympic Games.

Los Angeles, having received guarantees for the Olympic Games-2028, lost to Paris Games-2024.

Officially, the order will be approved on September 13 at the 131st IOC session in Lima (Peru).

Note that initially to host the Games-2024 claimed Hamburg, Budapest, Rome, Paris and Los Angeles, but only the last two cities have confirmed their applications.

Recall, the coming Summer Games will be held in 2020 in Tokyo.
