The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) admitted 16 more Russian athletes to international competitions.

Among the admitted athletes were: Viktor Butenko (disk), Timothy Chaly (400 meters with barriers), Daniil Danilov (hammer), Olga Eliseeva (walking), Alexei Fedorov (triple jump), Irina Gumenyuk (triple jump), Irina Gordeeva (Jump in height), Vyacheslav Kolesnichenko (sprint), Alexander Lesnoy (core), Konstantin Lyadusov (core), Yulia Maltseva (disk), Elena Mamina (sprint), Alexander Menkov (long jumps), Victoria Prokopenko (triple jump) , Ilya Shkurenev (decathlon), Valentin Smirnov (middle distance).

However, these athletes will be able to perform only under a neutral flag.

The final participation of these athletes must be confirmed by the IAAF's formal rules, as well as by the organizers of each individual tournament.

In total this year 39 applications were approved, nine - from the participants of the World Youth Athletics Championships.

Recall that Russian athletes were disqualified for the participation of state authorities in promoting the use of doping and concealing the results of doping tests.
