The leadership of the German football club "St. Pauli" decided to help opponents of the G20 summit, which takes place in Hamburg.

The club allowed the protesters to spend the night in their camp at Entenwerder.

"As we represent the position of the club according to which the right to express one's own convictions is one of the main values, we are ready to give people the opportunity to relax and spend the night at the stadium," said Christoph Pieper, the press attache of the club.

On Thursday, July 6, a planned peaceful protest action against the G20 summit turned into a clash with the police, which affected at least 76 policemen.

The summit will be held on July 7-8.
