World champion in the second bantamweight version of the IBO and WBA Guillermo Rigondo missed the victory over the Mexican Moyes Flores in the pro-ring.

In the undercard of the match, Sergei Kovalev - Andre Ward, the Cuban successfully defended the WBA title, sending Flores in a knockout in the first round.
