The Ukrainian national track and field team won 11 medals at the European Athletics Championships, which ended in Lille, France.

Only one medal was taken by the male part of the team - "gold" from Sergey Smilik (200m). Olga Lyakhova (800m) won the gold medal in women, Olga Zemlyak (400m), Julia Shmatenko (5000m) and 4x400m relay race won bronze medals, Anna Plotitsina (100m), Marina Bekh (jumping in Length), Alena Shamotina (hammer throwing), Elena Kolesnichenko (400m s / b), Natalia Prishchepa (1500m) and 4x100 relay race.

Our team took 6th place and kept a residence permit in the Super League for the next tournament, which in 2019 will take the Polish Bydgoszcz.

In the First League teams of Belarus (10th place) and Netherlands (11th place). Also, the elite will leave the Russian team, which was not allowed to compete in Lille.

The Super League in 2019 will be replenished by the winner of the First League Sweden, as well as Finland and Switzerland, who took the second and third places.
