Outstanding German tennis player, ex-first racket of the world Boris Becker declared bankrupt.

Such a verdict was issued by the London Court. Hearings on his case lasted only half an hour.

The cause of the bankruptcy of 49-year-old Becker became his debt to the bank Arbuthnot Latham & Co. Since 2015, the publication of MarketWatch.

At the hearings it became known that the former sportsman took a "serious amount" from the bank (how much is not specified) and did not return it.

Boris himself wrote in the social network that the order of the court surprised him, because he has money to pay the debt, and announced his intention to appeal this decision.

Note that Becker - six-time Grand Slam winner, in 1985, became the youngest winner of Wimbledon.

Until last year, he spent three years coaching Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, who under his leadership won several titles of the Grand Slam.
