The best tennis player of Ukraine Elina Svitolina, despite the defeat in the quarterfinals Roland Garros, will be able to update his personal best in the ranking of the best tennis players in the world.
Before the start of the competition, the Ukrainian was on the 6th line of the rating. At the tournament Elina surpassed her last year's result, when she stopped in the 1/8 finals.
Thus, Svitolina earned 430 points and for the first time in the top-5 ranking WTA.
Let us note that previously the only representative of Ukraine in the top five was Andrei Medvedev. In May 1994 the tennis player was on the 4th place of the men's rating.
Recall that in this season Svitolina has won four trophies: in Taipei, Dubai, Istanbul and Rome.
