Physical exercises can curb cravings for nicotine, but the effect depends on how often a person engages in sports. As shown by the University of Brown study, moderate exercise helps to wean from smoking and improve mood, but the effect does not last long unless the exercise is done regularly and consistently.

In an 8-week trial conducted jointly by experts from the Miriam Hospital, the University of Massachusetts in Boston / USA / and the University of London (UK), volunteers who walked the treadmill at the training center for 50 minutes three times a week.

Each participant was asked about the mood and craving for cigarettes immediately before and after each "race". Compared to participants in the control group, those who exercised were more likely to experience mood improvement and lower smoking cravings. However, if the exercises are not dealt with constantly, then the antinicotin effect decreases.
