The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) voiced the conditions for the restoration of Russia's membership. Four "urgent" criteria called Deputy Director General of the organization Rob Kohler.
Photo: "Morning" The representative said that the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA), first of all, should provide for itself "an independent chairman", and secondly establish in its council "a policy of no conflict of interest".
Kohler explained that Russia needed to remove the two-time Olympic champion Elena Isinbayeva from the post of its agency chairman until May 31, until the next meeting of the organizing committee, writes the portal Insidethegames.
The third condition is the admission of WADA to samples of biological passports of Russian athletes, which, as the Deputy Director noted, has already been carried out.
The last criterion is the opening of "closed cities" for representatives of doping control staff. Here, according to Koehler, Moscow is also at the stage of its implementation.
"I was very upset if by November we would not be able to complete the entire road map" (RUSADA's restoration in rights -. Ed.), While I am sure that these conditions are corrected by Russia, "- he quotes the newspaper.
In conclusion, he recalled that the Russian Federation is doing everything possible to solve the existing problems.
Isinbayeva was elected the main supervisory board of RUSAD on March 9. WADA expressed dissatisfaction with the appointment of an athlete to this post, since it does not correspond to the roadmap for the restoration of the organization's rights.
The scandal with RUSADA occurred in late 2015. Then the independent commission accused Russia of multiple anti-doping rule violations. The work of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory because of this was stopped, and RUSADA lost membership in WADA.
