Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Igor Zhdanov announced his intention to create a joint hockey championship with Belarus.

"We are interested in creating such a tournament.

Hockey with a puck in Belarus is well developed, there is a corresponding infrastructure, in the Ukrainian championship there are 6 teams, they need tough competition to improve the skills of players, and joint competitions are able to provide this practice.

It is necessary to work out this issue at the level of the two federations in the form of sport in more details, "- said Zhdanova BELTA.

It is worth noting that the participation in the last draw of the Ukrainian Hockey League (UHL) took six clubs, and the champion was "Donbass".
