The President of the Ukrainian Football Federation, Andrey Pavelko, was elected a member of the disciplinary committee of the International Football Federation.
An important decision for our country was taken at a meeting of the 67th FIFA Congress.
Delegates of the FIFA Congress supported the proposal of the president of the organization Gianni Infantino and voted for the new composition of the Disciplinary Committee, which will work for the next four years.
The candidacy of Andrei Pavelko was introduced on the eve of the FIFA Council by UEFA President Alexander Cheferin.
"We closely cooperate with Alexander Cheferin from the very beginning of his presidency, Ukraine is a reliable ally of the president of UEFA in carrying out system reforms in European football.
The appearance of the representation of Ukraine in FIFA will contribute to the successful reform of our football system, "noted Pavelko.
Let's note, earlier representatives of our country never occupied positions on FIFA committees.
Recall that in April 2017 another Ukrainian Grigory Surkis was re-elected vice-president of UEFA.
