Ukrainian national karate team won six medals at the European Championships

For the first time karatekas competed at the European Championships in Olympic status. The Ukrainian team took the fourth command place at the European Karate Championship, which for the first time is held in the Olympic Izmir in the Olympic status. The main heroine of our team was Ekaterina Krivaya, who won gold in the category of up to 50 kg in kumite and was the first in the women's team in kumite.

Stanislav Gorun in the category of up to 75 kg kumite won silver, in a strained ending losing to the Italian Luigi Buza. In addition, the Ukrainians have chosen three bronze medals. In the team kumite, the men's team of Ukraine won bronze by defeating the German team in the third place, women's bronze medals were won by Anzhelika Terlyuga (55 kg) and Anita Seregina (61 kg).
