The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has amended the organization's charter regarding the equipment of athletes.

Now basketball players will be able to play in official matches in hijabs. This is reported on the official website of FIBA.

However, to the hijabs there will be a number of requirements: they can be white, black or team-shaped colors. Moreover, the players of the team all the hijabs should be the same color, do not cover the face and do not create danger to other players.

The process of reviewing the rules began in 2014. The reason for this was the traditions of some countries.

Note that in the same year Qatar refused to speak at the Asian Games because of the ban on hijabs.
