Men's team of Ukraine in the composition of George Ivanitsky, Victor Ruban and Alexei Gunbin won the "gold" of the European Cup in archery from the classic bow.

In the final, the Ukrainian team proved to be more accurate than Russians - 5: 4. It should be noted that this medal was already the fifth for Ukraine at the European Cup.

Earlier "gold" was won by the women's national team of Ukraine in block bow, Victoria Dyakova and Elena Borisenko won "silver" and "bronze" in individual competitions, respectively, and Veronica Marchenko won a bronze medal in shooting from the classic bow.

It should be noted that the blockbow differs from the classical by its design. In block bows, the result does not depend on the accuracy of the athlete, but on the work of the mechanisms. It is for this reason that it is not included in the Olympic program.

Recall that at the last Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Ukrainian archers failed to win a single medal.
