The worst crime of Bill 15150 is not what it does to rights, but what it does to people

It seems that a government program has begun to psychologically traumatize millions of people, or they just like to lump us together with cardboard boxes?

Requests for comment 15150 are pouring in one after another. From business and media to public organizations and just people who know that I study Russian narratives that are atomizing us.

Frankly, this is not the first law in which Belarusian documents are rewritten, which they in turn copied in Russian.

And this one did not pass by. For example, 1. violation of art.. 8 ECHR (right to private and family life), ECHR precedent Fedotova v. Russia (2023), as well as Ukraine’s direct obligations to the EU on the introduction of a registered partnership.

The basic logic of the project has not changed: same-sex couples remain outside family law. They will not be recognized as family members not only automatically, but also through the courts. Same-sex marriages concluded abroad will also not be recognized in Ukraine.

The bill also contains a ban on joint adoption of children by same-sex couples.

Not to mention the fact that at the same time we are trying to reform orphanages. It seems like something has gone completely wrong.

Further, I, as a psychologist, am completely outraged by the violation of the Istanbul Convention (ratified by Ukraine in 2022. ), which requires immediate and effective access to divorce for victims of violence.

FORCED “RECONCILIATION” IS A TRAP FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE For women who run away from domestic violence, forced “reconciliation terms” at the discretion of the judge are not a procedural norm, but a danger to physical survival.

This is not a procedural norm for victims of domestic violence.. This is retraumatization signed by the state.

Each month of forced “reconciliation” with the abuser increases the risk of re-violence and suicidal thoughts in the victim (WHO, data for Eastern Europe). A judge with "

I will skip the issue of freedom of speech, the basis for raiding and the issue of property ownership.

Journalists begin not to write not because they are afraid, but because they stop believing in the meaning. Society is losing its immune system against corruption. And a society without immunity is sick.

Opening up systemic opportunities for corrupt raiding.

Anxiety for property is the deepest after anxiety for survival..

Here I get a little into the realities of the 20-30s and the execution of the intelligentsia, and then into the 60sNB: if you don’t want to understand the laws, just look at Suspilny’s documentaries about Ukrainian artists of those years. In principle, the results of the adoption of such laws are conveyed there.

Well, in the end my inner “scientist” shuddered. The concept of “integrity” is introduced without clear criteria, which means that decisions will depend on the subjective assessment of officials and judges, and there are risks of interference in private and family life.

The term “integrity” is mentioned in the text of the code 45 times and all private relations must be regulated with mandatory consideration of this “integrity”.

Article No. 1516 states that people in Ukraine cannot be discriminated against based on gender, age, health status, race, signs of disability, etc.. However, if it is necessary to “protect integrity” then discrimination is permitted.

When a person does not know whether his behavior will be considered “acceptable,” chronic anticipation anxiety kicks in.. In psychology this is called hypervigilance. The brain is constantly in the “what if I’m doing something wrong according to the law” mode? "

Result: self-censorship, passivity, fear of being yourself.

The worst crime of this law is not what it does to rights.

It's what it does to people.

A person who does not know the rules is afraid.

A man whose family is invisible disappears.

A man who is forced to make “peace” with someone who beats him breaks down.

A journalist who can be attacked for any mention is silent.

And a state that systematically traumatizes its citizens does not protect them from the enemy.. It becomes it itself.

This is a clinical picture of me as a psychologist interested in national security..

Draw your own conclusions.
