A strong country is a country that keeps its heroes alive, and does not bury them beautifully

There is one trend in Ukrainian society that frankly irritates me. And the longer the war lasts, the more noticeable it becomes. This trend began back in the mournful days of February twelve years ago..

The following is the text in the original language. As long as you're alive, you're still not a hero.

You can fight with rocks. Walk in the most important directions. Visit twin cities. Work with a robot, as no one is publicly aware of. Turn around after getting hurt. I'm going back to position. Pull the war on everything - physical and moral.

Ale taxes on the city can go between headquarters and offices for months or fates. They are wrapped up through formalities. Add. " " No one is in a particular hurry.

There is no petition. There are no thick words. There is no suspenseful respect.

You're just robbing your work.

And everything changes dramatically when a different date appears beside your name.

At one point the additions appear. Spogadi. Interview. People write that they knew you especially because they “started spluttering”. Petitions are being started for the appropriation of the greatest sovereign cities. Politicians know the right words. Duty to know emotions.

For the first time, simple nutrition is to blame:.

Why couldn’t you earn something earlier

Lyudina did not become a hero on the day of her death. Vaughn was there a long time ago.

But the truth is that a living hero is inhuman.

A living military man can guess what the war is troubling. Why not here in the news, but right now. There are problems, but also anger. What you need is not symbolic support, but real support - recuperation, rehabilitation, the normal establishment of power and marriage..

A living hero is unique.

A dead hero is a symbol.

Symbol of asking for nothing. Doesn't criticize. Don’t ask uninformed people. You can love him carelessly, without changing your glamorous life. Write a post, light a candle, sign a petition - and internally check the box: “I’ll give in”.

This sounds harsh, but we are gradually shaping the culture, where the greatest appreciation of knowledge comes only after the highest price.

And this problem is not limited to the state bureaucracy. This is a great thing - our historical principle is to magnify the sacrifice more than life.

In our culture, the hero is often the one who died. Martyr. Symbol. Stand from a friend or a memorial plaque.

Alas, this war must teach us differently.

A strong country is not a country that can beautifully embrace its heroes.

A strong country is a country that can keep them alive.

Life is not just words after tragedy.

This is encouragement if people are still at war. If you can still turn home. If this is true, we can still become a future country, and not lose some memory.

We need to learn to say “the next” before another date, not after it..

Otherwise, we are in danger of depriving the country of even beautiful obituaries - and even a small number of living heroes.
