On Monday, December 15, the weather in Ukraine will worsen. In particular, Kiev residents and guests of the capital were warned about the danger of fog on the roads. Visibility – 200-500 m (I danger level, yellow).

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. It is noted that fog is expected in Kyiv in the next hour until the end of the day on December 14, at night and in the morning of December 15.

The Kyiv City State Administration added that experts recommend that drivers adhere to the following tips when driving in fog:.

– Reduce driving speed.

– If there are fog lights, turn them on together with the low beam.

– Keep a safe distance from other cars.

– When stopping, turn on the hazard warning lights.

– Avoid sudden maneuvers on the road.

“We urge pedestrians to be attentive and wear reflective elements - flickers, in order to be visible to drivers during fog and at night,” the weather forecasters summed up their forecast..

– Meteorologist Natalya Didenko said that on December 14 in Ukraine the weather is expected to worsen in the form of precipitation, ice and gusty winds in places. Rain will occur in the western regions, and for the rest of the territory the forecaster predicts snow and sleet.

– The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center believes that this winter may be 1.5 – 2 degrees warmer than normal. However, short periods of relatively strong frosts, down to -18 degrees, are possible.
