In recent years, significant changes have been taking place in Ukraine in the church self -determination of Orthodox believers. In particular, the full -scale invasion of Russia significantly reduced the number of those who attribute themselves to the believers of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.

As of 2024, the UPC MP supporters in Ukraine consisted of only 5.5%. This is evidenced by the results of the research of the Center for Economic and Political Studies named after Alexander Razumkov.

Significantly less have become those who attribute themselves to the believers of the UOC MP (from 13% in 2021 to 5.5% in 2024). This trend has been traced since the beginning of the full -scale war of Russia against Ukraine.

The conflict or tension in relations between believers of different churches is indicated by 20% of respondents in the central region, 13% in the Western region, 10% in the eastern and only 1% in the South.
