A special comprehensive group was created at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now she is checking the 156th brigade, which has completed its recruitment and has begun basic general military training (BZIN). This is stated in the message of the General Staff. They emphasized that the command took into account the mistakes when forming the 155th brigade and is doing everything to prevent this from happening in the future. The group was headed by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel Oleg Apostol.

“A comprehensive group was created to check the progress of the formation of the 156th brigade and provide assistance in organizing and preparing for combat operations,” the statement said..

Currently, the military unit has completed staffing and has begun basic general military training for the simultaneous selection of personnel for professional training.

At the same time, during the inspection a number of significant deficiencies were identified, to eliminate which the tasks of the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were determined.

– replacing part of the brigade’s leadership and appointing a commander with combat and practical experience having served in command positions;

– transfer to the unit of officers and sergeants who previously participated in hostilities in order to increase the combat capabilities of the 156th Mechanized Infantry Brigade;

– improving the quality of practical training, taking into account the experience of combat operations in the east;

– Increasing the intensity and quality of training for UAV pilots and radio electronics operators, as well as resolving a number of other issues that affect the results of combat operations.
