A dangerous challenge has appeared on TikTok in which children make homemade firecrackers. Because of such “fun,” Lvov doctors have hospitalized three children with deep facial burns in the last week alone..

The Lviv City Council warned about a new epidemic from TikTok. In turn, the National Police of Ukraine explained what the danger is and what parents and children should do.

“An ambulance delivered three boys, aged 10, 11 and 15, to the children’s hospital in Lvov, in whose faces a homemade explosive exploded. These children do not know each other, however, they have one thing in common: they all made a homemade “firecracker” according to step-by-step instructions on the Tik-Tok network,” said the Lviv City Hall.

In the photo below is 11-year-old Vyacheslav from the Lviv region. On the street he saw other children making firecrackers according to instructions from Tik Tok. But when Slava himself made such a firecracker, it exploded right in his face.

“Such patients come to us with deep chemical burns to the face. After all, the pipe cleaner contained in these so-called “firecrackers” literally corrodes the skin of children. The eyes suffer the most, because they have the thinnest tissues.. Within a week we have already provided assistance to three children. All of them, unfortunately, will have scars on their faces,” the City Council quotes Galina Sayan, head of the City Center for Thermal Trauma and Burn Surgery..

The National Police also warns: such fun not only leads to long-term treatment - scars on the face and hands can remain for life.

" Life and health are much more important than any views or likes,” law enforcement officers urge children. Teenagers are also advised to tell adults if anyone plans to make such “firecrackers.”.
