Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky said this today.

“Now we have already managed to reduce the number of checkpoints to 1.5 thousand, removing a lot of unnecessary checkpoints, which only hinder movement and take only time. As for those conditionally “authorized” checkpoints, a list of them will be included in a special order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the first edition of which was already published last week. Today or tomorrow, the list of other checkpoints throughout the country should be expanded,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said..

Currently, the subjects involved in this work see the optimal number of roadblocks on the main routes and cities in the amount of up to 800 roadblocks.

“But they must be equipped in accordance with all the rules for the formation of a checkpoint.. Clear work should be organized there, which will be provided by representatives of the National Police - together with the Troop, with the NSU, but it is the police who will be the main ones and will shape the work at these checkpoints,"
