About UAH 8 million from the regional budget was directed to the development of the Kharkiv region's territorial defense system. The corresponding decision was made at an extraordinary session on February 16.

In particular, the Territorial Defense Program of the Kharkiv Region for 2022 was approved and changes were made to the Comprehensive Regional Program for Ensuring Public Security and Order, as well as Combating Crime in the Kharkiv Region for 2020-2022.

The head of the HOCA Oleg Sinegubov thanked the deputies of the Kharkiv Regional Council for consolidating efforts and making this important decision.

“Indeed, we developed a program in a short time, which we adopted today. What will these funds go to The most necessary: \u200b\u200bthe purchase of computer equipment, sometimes it is the replacement of windows or current repairs, etc.. ”, - said Oleg Sinegubov.

The funds will be transferred to the relevant military authorities, which will carry out procedures and purchases, after which these funds or inventory items will be transferred directly to the locations of the TO units.

" Then we will gradually introduce and implement the Law of Ukraine “On the Foundations of National Resistance”, form territorial defense units, strengthen their combat capability,” said the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

Director of the Department of Defense, Mobilization Work and Interaction with Law Enforcement Agencies of the KHOCA Alexey Maksimov noted during the report that territorial defense programs have been operating in the Kharkiv region for 4 years.
