The government committee supported the approval of the alphabet of the Crimean Tatar language based on the Latin script, according to the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Occupied Territories of Ukraine, which has developed a draft act.

According to the ministry, the proposed alphabet version consists of 31 letters. The project is based on the decision of the Kurultai of the Crimean Tatar people of 1991-1993.
