The corresponding decree No. 299/2021 was signed by the Head of State on July 21.

12-year-old Tatiana saved her 7-year-old brother and three other neighbour's children from flooding caused by heavy downpours in the village of Yasinya in the Rakhiv region. The girl turned off the electricity in the house, took her younger brother and three other children and took them to the attic, protecting them from the high water level, which by that time had already reached one meter.



A girl from the village of Stebny, Rakhiv district, rescued her brother and three neighboring children. A thunderstorm came when their parents were working in the field, and the water began to rush into the house..

Then Tatyana Tulaydan turned off the electrics at home, took her seven-year-old brother Yura and ran to her aunt's house. There were three frightened children and the water rose to the knee.

A 12-year-old girl reassured the children and took them to the second floor of her house, where they waited safely for adults.
