President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Epiphanius, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Onufriy and the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Svyatoslav Shevchuk in connection with the celebration of Easter in quarantine.

The head of state noted that on the eve of Easter, the situation with the incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine is controlled.

The President thanked church leaders for their help during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic last year, when they informed believers about the importance of taking care of themselves and their loved ones.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also asked to tell believers about the importance of vaccination against COVID-19, because this is the only way to overcome the pandemic.

Primates of churches assured that the issue of celebrating Easter amid the coronavirus pandemic is in the focus of attention of all church communities.
