The only crematorium of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech city of Ostrava, due to the increased mortality rate of the population associated with the coronavirus epidemic, does not have time to cremate the bodies of the deceased in time.

According to Radio Prague, the crisis situation continues to persist despite the fact that an uninterrupted working regime has been introduced in the country's largest crematorium (three incinerators)..

Already in the fall of last year, additional refrigerators were installed on the territory of the crematorium to store incoming bodies..

The situation, however, becomes more complicated and the bodies of people who died from covid in the Moravian-Silesian Region are transported to other crematoria, where there is no crisis at the moment.

There are 27 crematoria in total in the Czech Republic.
