The heating season has begun in Ukraine - from October 15, in most regions, social facilities began to be connected to heat supply. According to information from the regional and Kiev city state administrations, as of October 26, more than 45% of residential buildings and almost 57% of social infrastructure facilities are connected to heating.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Community and Territory Development of Ukraine.

As the ministry recalled, the decision on the beginning of the heating period is taken by local authorities upon the fact, when the average daily air temperature is below 8 degrees Celsius for three days.

" Of these - 8619 kindergartens (66.6%), 7459 schools (47.7%) and 1829 healthcare institutions (62.2%).

The housing stock is 100% connected in the Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions. In Rivne, Chernigov and Zhytomyr regions, this indicator is at the level of 97-99.9%.
