President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote a letter to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, in which he set the task to strengthen support for people with disabilities in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

“One of the most vulnerable segments of the Ukrainian population suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic are people with disabilities, including children with disabilities..

They already have a significant level of loss of health, and for them the pandemic means an increased risk to life and the appearance of even greater complications, "

The head of state stressed that this category of citizens had problems with access to medical care even before the pandemic, and the coronavirus made this issue even more urgent..

“I ask you, dear Denis Anatolyevich, to take measures to strengthen support for people with disabilities during a pandemic and minimize its consequences for them,” the letter says..
