The Central Election Commission allowed voters to vote in the elections without registration. The CEC also allowed voting in local elections at the place of actual residence, rather than registration.

This was reported by the CEC press service, reports Censor. NO.

It is noted that such a decision will allow more than 1 million voters to participate in the elections.

" We are talking about voters who do not have a registered place of residence. This category also includes persons who were only 18 years old at the time of voting, which means that they received the right to vote, but for certain reasons did not have the opportunity to register at the place of residence.

Therefore, the CEC, on its own initiative, decided to resolve this issue, "

Previously, in the absence of a residence permit, it was forbidden to participate in any election, but now it will be possible to vote in both national and local elections - at the place of actual residence.

For this, it will be necessary to apply to the authority of the State Register of Voters between the elections or in the first five days of the election process.. At the same time, the election address determined by the place of actual residence cannot be changed within six months.

Earlier, the CEC also allowed voting in local elections at the place of actual residence, rather than registration. The rules for this are similar to the above..
