The Deputy Chairman of the National Police noted that strengthened quarantine measures have come into effect today. Therefore, about 22,000 law enforcement officers - the police and the National Guard - are involved in the service.

In particular, seven thousand employees are directly involved in patrolling in parks, squares and the like..

“These are pedestrian and automobile outfits, this is the service at checkpoints, the protection of medical institutions and observation sites. Police officers continue to carry out preventive work and explain to citizens the rules of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on new restrictive measures for the period of quarantine. At the same time, 192 administrative protocols have been drawn up for violation of quarantine, ”said the Deputy Chairman of the National Police.

So, law enforcement officers found 14 offenders who visited parks and squares. Another 10 administrative protocols drawn up for violation of the conditions of self-isolation. There are also the first admin protocols for appearing in public places without masks.

“For identified violations provides for administrative liability under Article 44-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The sanction of the article provides for a fine - from 17 to 34 thousand hryvnias, ”said the Deputy Chairman of the National Police.

In addition, with the introduction of temporary restrictions, police daily receive reports from citizens about violations related to quarantine rules.

Since the beginning of quarantine activities on special line 102, more than 26,000 messages have been received. Today received more than 1200 messages.

“Violators react differently to police remarks. But we emphasize once again: our task is not to punish, but to prevent an offense. Police officers explain the provisions of the decision and carry out preventive work. Of course, the offenders are not listened to by the police, administrative protocols are drawn up, ”said Alexander Fatevich.
