The head of KHOA discussed with the chief physicians the needs and priority issues of the work of medical institutions that are preparing to provide care for patients with a worsening epidemic.
A meeting on the organization of anti-epidemic measures to prevent the introduction and spread of COVID-19 cases in the Kharkiv region was held on March 31. The heads of medical institutions designated for hospitalization of patients with COVID-19, as well as representatives of the regional and Kharkiv city departments of health and the chief state sanitary doctor of the Kharkov region Lyubov Mahota took part in it.
Opening the event, the head of the region asked doctors to quickly provide information on the needs of institutions in medicines, personal protective equipment, and so on. “We must have all the information: what you have, how much is, what you need. It is very important. Because now the state, you see, more and more supplies all the necessary. And the speed of filling your hospitals with everything necessary to fight this disease depends on the speed of these tasks.. Therefore, please turn on fully, treat with understanding the situation. Both the President and the Cabinet are trying to do everything that depends on the state, ”Alexey Kucher addressed representatives of medical institutions.
He said that the issue of increasing the salaries of doctors involved in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic is now being decided.
Also, answering the questions of doctors, Alexey Kucher noted that the issue of introducing the second stage of medical reform in institutions receiving patients with COVID-19 is being solved at the level of central authorities. Since they will not be able to fully function and fill the budget, hospital directors are asked to delay reform for them during the pandemic.
