At first, officials said that the ship, which has more than 3,500 passengers and crew from 54 countries, will arrive at the port on Sunday, but then they quickly changed the plan.
As noted, in Auckland, liner passengers will be able to go ashore and will be delivered to a quarantine facility. Disembarkation will last at least 2 days, as each passenger will have to pass an initial test for infection with the Covid-19 virus.
In addition, passengers residing in California will be quarantined at local healthcare facilities.. All other passengers will be placed at other facilities in different states.. The crew will remain in isolation.
