Last year alone, about 3 thousand citizens of Ukraine were born in Poland - almost a thousand more than a year earlier. This once again indicates that the Ukrainian labor migrant is getting younger. This was told by the authors of the study "

Meanwhile, the population of Ukraine continues to decline. According to the State Statistics Service, as of January 1, 2020, the population of Ukraine decreased by almost 230 thousand and totals 41 902 400 people. In 2018, there were 42,198,483 Ukrainians. The statistics of Dmitry Dubilet, the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, show that at the end of 2019 there are approximately 37 million Ukrainians.

Rabota job site expert. ua Tatyana Pashkina says that the decrease in the country's population is associated with a low birth rate (per 100 deaths - 57 babies), as well as the migration of compatriots to other countries, where they often create families outside Ukraine and never return here.

According to rabota analysts. ua, the outflow of specialists and labor to the countries of the European Union is primarily due to low wages in Ukraine, the lack of a suitable job in a specialty with a decent salary. In the process of finding a job, about 90% of Ukrainians believe that they have encountered difficulties, and 52% of Ukrainians believe that it is becoming more difficult to find a good job in Ukraine.

There is another problem - unemployment.. According to rabota. ua, the unemployment rate in Ukraine as of 2019 reached 8.5%. Moreover, in the countries of the European Union (Romania, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia) - 7.4%.

Problems with finding a suitable job in Ukraine are forcing young professionals to go to other countries, especially since it has become much easier to do this with a visa-free regime.. The first who decides to leave are young people, as they are more mobile. Plus, as analysts emphasized, often university graduates cannot find work with decent pay due to lack of experience. Therefore, the applicant for the position may ultimately decide to leave the country in search of work in a specialty with high pay. Since not many Ukrainian employers are willing to pay market salaries to people without experience.

" The Embassy of Ukraine in Poland last year reported that about 3 thousand birth certificates of citizens of Ukraine in Poland were issued. 1,961 certificates issued in 2018. Young specialists go abroad to find a good job, then they start a family there, "

Selectivv DMP analytics show that now about 1.25 million Ukrainian citizens work in Poland. Of these, 38% are aged 21-30 years, and 29% are aged 31-40 years.. About 36% are men.

The number of migrants under 30 is already prevailing.

At the same time, the EU countries continue to soften their policy on the employment of foreigners. According to the German Embassy in Ukraine, there has already been a change in the legislative framework in Germany, which is set up to recruit specialists in the fields that are in demand, namely: doctors, IT, engineers, scientists, mathematicians. In the Czech Republic, the state also increases quotas for the employment of foreigners.
