KhOGA examined problematic issues of Chernobyl victims

On December 12, a regular meeting of the working group on social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster was held, the press service of the KHOGA.

Participants discussed the events that they plan to conduct in the region by the Day of Honoring the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident. The most discussed topics were issues related to transport and the state of pension provision. Particular attention was paid to medical support and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster.

According to the director of the Department of Social Protection of the Population, Yuri Shparaga, this year 1,077 affected citizens assigned to the 1st category have already been healed from the planned 1116 people at the expense of the state budget.

“For the full provision of sanatorium-resort treatment of affected citizens (1 category) from the regional budget in 2019, 2.9 million UAH are planned. As of December 1, 363 people were recovered in the amount of UAH 2.6 million, ”the director of the department cited.

According to him, 2.

5 million UAH are planned as additional social guarantees to ensure the sanatorium-resort treatment of Chernobyl victims, assigned to group 2, and affected children from the regional budget. Currently, about 217 people are recovered in the amount of UAH 2.3 million.

In addition, UAH 10.3 million is planned for preferential medical care for liquidators this year in the regional budget.. Of these, for the provision of medicines - 9 million UAH, for dental prosthetics - 1 million UAH, for additional meals in the dispensary - 0.3 million UAH.
