Instead of a sports uniform and sneakers on it, now the guards uniform and berets. The professional athlete who defended the country's honor in the youth team is now defending his homeland with a gun in his hands.

23-year-old guardsman Anton Babichev was born and raised in the Kharkov region. In youth, the guy became interested in weightlifting.

“I just came with a friend to the rocking chair to improve my physical fitness a bit,” says Anton, “but later became interested in weight-lifting”.

After 2 years of hard training, Anton first defended the yellow-blue colors at the world level in Slovenia, where the guy managed to get gold.

The time has come and the young man decided for himself that not only sport should glorify his country, but also protect its borders. In autumn 2017, Anton signed a contract and went to serve in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine.

“First, you analyze what is happening around and look for opportunities through which you personally can influence events and change something. I couldn’t look at all this and sit back. I'm a healthy guy. Therefore, I decided that it was my time to defend the country, ”shared the guardsman.

The second time, Anton Babichev went to the world championship, which took place in Seoul in 2017, already being a guard. Then he also managed to take a prize - this time the guy won silver among juniors.

And even now, while performing military duties in the area of \u200b\u200bthe operation of the United Forces, a fighter? did not quit playing sports. He made an amateur sports ground with his own hands, arranging it simply from what was at hand.

“It is impossible to be a professional fighter without good physical preparation. Especially here in OOS you understand that being strong and hardy is pretty important, ”the National Guard notes.

The main thing, according to the fighter, is the desire to improve and use his free time to good use.
