Kiev District Court of Odessa considered the claim for compensation for copyright infringement on the original title of the literary work "Kapitoshka".

The court found that in 1979 the plaintiff created a literary work called "Kapitoshka" and the rights to it.
As it turned out, in January-May 2016, the defendants, including the well-known Odessa manufacturers of bakery products, made illegal use of the name of the literary work.
So, on the label of their confectionery (cakes) the name "Potato-Kapitoshka with coconut flakes" and "Potato-Kapitoshka showered" was recreated.
These products were sold in the local chain of stores..
Having considered the case, the court fully satisfied the claims. Defendants charged compensation for copyright infringement totaling more than half a million hryvnia.
