The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses a strong protest in connection with the implementation by the Russian Federation of the next call-up for military service in the temporarily occupied part of the sovereign territory of Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Such actions are a gross violation of obligations under international humanitarian law, which prohibits Russia, as an occupying state, to force protected persons to serve in its armed or auxiliary forces, as well as it prohibits exerting pressure and propaganda in favor of voluntary entry into the army.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands that the Russian Federation cancel the call-up for military service of the temporarily occupied part of the sovereign territory of Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, stop persecuting Ukrainian citizens for not wanting to serve in the occupying army, and ensure unconditional fulfillment of their international obligations as an occupying state.
