Kyiv City Council approved the list of sections of the capital’s roads, which allowed vehicles to travel at speeds up to 80 km / h from April 1 to November 1, which included 17 city streets. According to the city council secretary Vladimir Prokopiv, all these streets are adapted for more intensive traffic, do not have ground crosswalks and intersections of traffic in one level.

"For the comfort and convenience of drivers, we have defined a list of roads, where in the period from April 1 to November 1, you can move at a speed of up to 80 km / h. In winter, through difficult weather conditions, all metropolitan roads will have a single limitation of 50 km / h.. At a speed of 80 km / h, the driver can control the traffic situation, and the carrying capacity of the capital’s roads remains at the current level, "said Prokop.
