In Chernigov, the summer biathlon championship of Ukraine took place, the winners of which were Kharkov citizens Alexander Ponomarenko and Olga Abramova.

Silver medal in the men's mass start won Alexander Ponomarenko. From Denis Nasiko from Sumy Oblast, who is 27:39. 9 finished first, Kharkov left behind by 25 seconds.

Also in the men's mass start two more Kharkiv athletes were in the top ten: Yuri Sytnik (6th place) and Stepan Kinash (7th place).

Olga Abramova became the bronze medalist in the women's pursuit.

It was quite difficult to be among the winners in Kharkov, because in the sprint she finished only the tenth. Nevertheless, Olga managed to show a good result (31:00. 3) and lagged behind the winner Darya Blashko by 51. 1 sec. The second place was taken by the representative of the Sumy region Valentina Semerenko.

Kharkiv biathletes performed quite successfully in the mixed relay, taking the sixth place. The team included Lyubov Kipyachenkova, Olga Abramova, Alexander Ponomarenko and Yuri Sytnik. Victory in the mixed relay team won the Ternopil region.
