Former guard of the Stutthof concentration camp near Gdansk (Poland) will face trial in Munster (Germany). The trial will begin on November 6, the court said..

The man is now 94, but he will be tried by the juvenile criminal court, since at the time of the crime he was not 21 years old. Given the state of health of the defendant, each meeting will last no more than two hours, and between them there will be free days. There are now planned 13 meetings on this case until mid-January.

A former security guard was a member of the SS, he is accused of involvement in the murder of several hundred people in a concentration camp between 1942 and 1945.

According to the investigation, then hundreds of people were killed in gas chambers, others died because of extreme conditions in the concentration camp, some were injected with poison into the heart, others were shot in the back of the head. The prosecutor's office states that the defendant was aware of the methods of killing people in the camp. He denies these accusations himself.

Similar charges are brought against another man - he is 93 years old, he lives in Wuppertal. However, it is not yet known whether he is legally capable, reports DW.
