Kharkov athletes won 6 medals at the Youth World Championships-checkers-64, which was held in the village of Kranevo (Bulgaria).
The competition was attended by athletes from 15 countries, who played medals in seven age groups in the classic, fast and lightning games.
According to the results of the championship, the Ukrainian team won 1 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals, of which six awards were brought to the team by Kharkov sportswomen.
Thus, the world champion in the age group "10 years" in the category of "lightning fast game" was Kharkiv citizen Ekaterina Musienko. In seven rounds she scored 12 points and by 1 point ahead of Evgeny Shved from Belarus. Also on the account of Catherine - two silver medals, which she received in fast and classic games.
In addition, three medals for the national team of Ukraine won Vasilisa Kutsenko. In the age group "8 years" the young sportswoman took the 2nd place in the category "classical game". Also Vasilisa won two bronze medals in fast and lightning games.
